The 40' lap pool
can be heated, and there's a heated six-person tiled spa at the end of the pool
for relaxing and stretching out muscles after a of day bike riding, scuba
diving, water skiing, deep sea fishing, beach volleyball, or combing the
up-scale shops on Las Olas Boulevard.
In the evening,
there are many fine restaurants within walking distance or just a short drive
away, and the house invites
entertaining. There is dramatic outside lighting designed by the lighting
specialist used by Hollywood stars who have homes nearby. Colorful
nighttime highlights around the garden's Asian fountain, poolside sculpture and
tropical plants set the
mood for candlelight dinners at a table seating six on the screened porch
overlooking the pool, garden and terrace.
Inside, there are
hardwood floors, rattan living room furniture, wide arched doorways giving
rooms a breezy open floor plan, and a cozy den that is a television
retreat and entry to the garden. The house sleeps four (one king bedroom
and one queen-size bedroom), and there's a large couch in the den. All bed
and bath
linens and kitchen entertaining necessities are provided. There is a
stereo and CD player, DSL computer line, printer, fax and copier. Two
phones are also provided for incoming and local calls.
If you're coming
with a large group, the lovely Villa Luka next door can also be rented, doubling
the number of bedrooms, baths, pools and terraces. The two houses
compliment each other and are terrific together for entertaining large groups.
The owners are good friends and have installed a locked gate in the privacy
